hm... im using G11 its a prosumer camera, so i kind of set the focus points didn't turn on macro when shooting

well I owned a canon 400d dslr previously but find it too bulky for me, so i guess im looking at micro 4/3 or prosumers, most likely i getting another G11

oh yes! that's in your avatar profile right? well.. you have to give and take in certain things. bulkyness for quality, small and compact for convenience but you lose out on quality.
i agreed with you getting back G11 since you chose to give up your 400D for the size. so, i will be pending for more your shots soon with your new camera again!

400d is a good dslr. to me it's a waste to let go of that fine camera, but everyone has their own preferences, so i cannot judge much. hope you will have more fun with G11 than with your 400d. must make full use and utilise the weight and compactness of G11. I also agreed on what metalz said.

yeah its more fun with the G11 though, it makes an extremely gd point and shoot camera for poor lit environment when set in auto.
