Post by ericltkong on Tue 11 Jan 2011, 19:29

thanks everyone for the wish.

i've ordered some cokin filters so this year would like to try it. in the mean time, i'm looking for a ND filter which can offer up to 10-stops. it was sad to know that cokin do not produce their ND100 filter so i have to look for other alternative. anyone of you has any good recommendations?

Actually you should have considered LEE filter, yes, they are more expensive than cokin filters but they also cater for ultra wide angle lens with no vignetting through CATHAY PHOTO's recommendations. Just in case when you get an ultra wide angle lens, you still can use your LEE filters.

LEE filter also has a ND filter which gives you approximately 10 stops down, it is call the BIG stopper.

ya, i agreed that the Lee Filters are better quality and worth every penny but not this moment. getting 1 of their filter can buy a few cokins filters right!

yup, i did researched on the BIG Stopper but price is my factor that's why it's out of my list.
