Unmistakably Malay, Tanjong Jara Resort
Impeccably built and handsomely crafted, every intricate architecture details of the Tanjong Jara Resort bears a very strong signate of the Malay culture. Located in the state of Terengganu on the east coast of Malaysia, Tanjong Jara Resort is one of the most luxurious fine living resorts in the region. When I learned that the resort is managed by YTL Group, I know I won't be disappointed. And really, everything about the resort is impressive. From the service quality of the staff to the mouth-watering food at its fine dinning restaurant, everything is top notch.
Here are some of the photos I have taken during my stay in the resort. C&C welcomed!Re: Unmistakably Malay, Tanjong Jara Resort
Check out the room...
And just when you thought the room was big...
The bath room is bigger than my own room back home!

Oh...not yet...That place is really fantastic. The service quality of the staff is equally amazing, if not, better!

Hi thanks! Here's my personal review of the resort. Accommodation and food scored a perfect 5 out of 5. Period. Afterall, it's a 5 stars resort in Malaysia managed by the YTL Group. Cannot be wrong right? To give you an idea of how much for a decent meal, my friends and I (4 pax) spent 320 RM on dinner, that includes some ice teas, deep fried sweet sour chicken, kangkong, and a fish (I forgot the name of the fish). And because there were 4 of us, the dishes quantity was doubled! That's why it was so expensive! One very special thing about the restaurant is that there is no menu. The staff will verbally recommend the dishes to you. If you think your pocket is deep enough, go for their Japanese steamboat (served by the pool side) that costs 250RM per head. You read me right, there is no typo error here.
Price of the accommodation is very expensive. But from the photos you see earlier, you get what you paid for. And mind you, the room that I stayed in, is the cheapest one. On the Tanjong Jara Resort website, it's quoted at 350 USD per night! Ouch! Luckily I've got some lobang and I could get the room at a much cheaper rates than outside. If not, I don't think my friends and I would want to go there.

Re: Unmistakably Malay, Tanjong Jara Resort
If anyone is thinking of going there, there is a cheaper place to eat dinner outside the resort. The name of the restaurant is CB Wee. I heard it's opened by an ex-chef of the restaurant in the resort. You can walk to the restaurant (around 20min). But I would suggest you ask the resort staff to drive you out, because there are a lot of mosquitoes outside. Basically, the resort vicinity is kampong. I spotted some of the resort staff eating at this CB Wee restaurant too!
