you can give think tank a thought, seriously, i really dont recommend you to load your tripod on your backpack. it will really kill you. not over short distance, but a long one can tire you easily.

And your shoulders will definitely hurt no matter how good cushion they are..

i wont even think of mounting my tripod on my backpack at all.

1. it is troublesome if i want to deploy my tripod.
2. it add weights to my shoulders!

I am so sick of carry the tripod on hand.. Like become no hand at last, wanna shoot photo also need to unload the tripod.. hahaha..how yea?

buy a separate bag for tripod and sling it over your shoulder, in that way, it is easier for you to put your tripod when you want to shoot but without tripod.
