hi, one of the reasons why i didn't crop the top off is becos the sky adds to the drama of the scene. Thus i chose the 16:9 format to frame this pic.
Dun you guys agree that somehow the tall sky adds to the feel of how big the temple when we see the comparison of the gardener and the sky? I kind of try to add depth and size in this pic.
Pls tell me more what u feel about this pic in regards to the sky. Let's hear your opinions.
Thanks!

It is not very obvious that you are trying to show the scale of the temple. The sky does not add to the drama to my opinion.
You probably wants to know how to show the scale of the temple. I can't give you an answer for this particular case. There are too many elements around the temple. The best way probably is to get closer and shoot at a different perspective. You can also shoot very far to show the rest of the buildings around are dwarfed by the temple.

Mmmm i dun like the angle... esp, the left bottom brown shelter hse..somehow block the "whole" structure of the temple.

Hey!
Thanks! u have pretty good composition. but ur color saturation is a bit high...did u push up the shadows too?
Man..i wonder how come i didn't see any monk in the temples.....sigh.....what time did u go to these temples as i'm going there again next week.
Re: Wat Arun Temple in Bangkok
At workplace can see leh, thanks.
If it was me, I'd go more nearer and then look up the temple, towards the sky to 'compo' only the 2 temple spires against the sky. I'd capture the spire details and a bit of the sky.

yep...I pushed the shadows and saturation..I purposedly did that. I guess I was lucky for I went there during a special day of prayer for Buddhist. I think it was the new year equivalent on their calendar.
