Hmm...very interesting shot...hmm...how to comment on this...
I believe it has been very dark which explained why u had to use your flash. However, the contrast in the brightness on the stilts in comparison to the background is a bit err....high. If the back ground is a bit brighter, this pic would be perfect.
Another way of taking this sort of lighting scenario is to set your metering to long exposures to about 30s and setting ur flash to rear sync with the flash power slightly lower. In this way, the foreground will be nicely litted and the background not so dark.
Just my thought....hope u dun mind....
