Just found out that this macro lens tends to have something loose inside that when you shake it while not attached to camera, you hear something inside knocking around.

I have also read about it, and yes, the response was that this is normal for this lens as the IS inside the lens is loose and not working when not attached to camera, when you attach this lens to a camera body, you will find it that the "thing" inside is firm and not knocking around anymore..

Yes! lol! anyway, have got really good reviews and feedbacks about this lens here. When it was first launched in Singapore, it was almost out of stock everywhere!

That is certainly true in a way. But no doubt many people chose to gave up their 100mm non L lens for this baby here.

Unsure whether i'm suppose to ask this question here, but how does it fair alongside Tamron SP90mm in terms of money and output quality?

In my own personal opinion, TAMRON 90mm macro is good enough for its value and to each preference, maybe you will find TAMRON better!
