Re: CHANGI BOARDWALK
the capturing of the sun is not bad, but the whole picture seems to be overly sharpen... standing further will be better, reveal more of the hut, at least 1/2 of it, will give u a better composed sillolette shot. itz kinda wasted that the lens flare is not captured well enough, else itz be great...
dont really like changi broadwalk, it being overly taken, with so many wedding couples having the same background makes the place looks so plain...

HAHA!! I was wondering what is lens flare, okok, actually I did pp to get rid of the lens flare? Coz I tot that the lens flare is quite distracting? LOL~~ Anyway thenx for the comment, I tot tat I wanna emphasize more on the sun rather than the hut.. Coz if I reveal more of the hut, the clouds wont look so clustered anymore..
Re: CHANGI BOARDWALK
hi, what is the subject matter of this photo? If it is the stilts, it is cut off quite a bit. If it is the hut, it is cut off quite a bit too. If it is the clouds, the area showing the clouds are too limited.
Btw, there is some halo over the hut. I believe this is a HDR shot?
CAn u share wiht me what is the EXIF of this pic pls? Maybe from there i can justify if i am right about some of my other judgements on the settings u have used.
HOpe i'm not too critical.

Re: CHANGI BOARDWALK
if ya subject is the sun, make it the main topic of the pic, too much cluster everywhere bro... the house the bridge, if it the rest is in silloutte will be fantastic.
the sun too is not well captured, colours looks fake... pls refer to master gary's "Light beyond"

Re: CHANGI BOARDWALK
Bro, u may try this setting with your HDR c/o Daveghard.
using photomatix
here's my setting
Strength 90
Color Saturation 70
Light Smoothing 1
Luminosity -2
Microcontrast 2
Micro Smoothing 2
White Clip 2.231
Black Clip 0.0490
Gamma 1
u can play the value for
-strength max 90 dont go beyond will make image flat...70-90
-color saturation depends on ur taste, 70 would be ideally maximum already
-luminosity play it 0,-1,-2....going to positive numbers image started to have noise

Re: CHANGI BOARDWALK
composition wise..it can be improved...sharpness are lost due to post processing. F16 at 1/8 seconds will make this photo underexpose. start with f8 and adjust accordingly on the speed. if you have and ND filter, your f stops decrease by at least one stop thus you need to increase your exporesure time.
