Re: Night Walk
hi,
Ok, here are my comments.
#1: this scene is taken at too late a time. Night landscape is preferred when it is around 730 pm when the sky is turning orange to purple. From there, u can see the shades of the clouds and sky formation which will add to the beauty of the esplanade area.
#2: Nothing interesting. Just a building.
#3: Very nice. However, it's a bit out of focus. Did u take this is jpeg or raw format? Did u use a tripod? The other thing that u can consider is zooming into the figure to show more of the face.
Hope my comments give u a deeper insight.
cheers!

My comments differ from Nicholas,
#1 : Subjective as around 730 give good sky/colour but not good reflection. More clouds would be nice.
#2 : If anyone notice the moving cloud. It's a good take, much better than mine Maybe WB & brightness.
#3 : Agree tat should zoom in more
Re: Night Walk
Just my humble C&C i am not good myself ...
1- Good picture. you can get better reflection at like 5 - 6 am and might as well stay on till 7 for sunrise the only problem is that the right is a little empty.
2- very normal Clouds moving ... very normal yea... but you might wanna exclude the left bottom building ... the subject also is out of the rules of thirds ... making it neither here nor there ... very odd position.
3- fine with me
:D:D:D:D HAve fun with your D80 i'm using D80 too

Re: Night Walk
Hi Ash.
Pic 3 has too many details, concentrating on the main subject alone and a bit of details surrounding it would be nice.
Pic 2 should have an aperture F16 or higher and the compo should concentrate on the main building alone.
Pic 1 taken abit too late thus too dark and sad to see the "Durian" cut off a bit.
Sorry if my comments been a bit "ya ya"

Dun mind also add in why #2 should be taken using F16. I still find the other building present ok as it show hw tall the hotel is.
