Lens Reccomendation
I know this is a irritating post >.<
but i'm thinking of changing lens....
What would you guys intro?
I'm into Landscape and closeups also general shooting
Am using the D90 with 18-105, tamron28-200macro.
Thinking of going wide angle, either the tokina 11-16 or 12-24
and the 18-200 VrI?
what would you guys suggest for a budget shooter?
should i hoot Dx lens?

Re: Lens Reccomendation
For my own preference, TOKINA 11-16 vs 12-24, I will go for 11-16. In that case, you will have 11-16, 18-105 then 28-200. Your range covered almost all.

Re: Lens Reccomendation
If I were you, I will save up money to buy ED lens. So that in future I will have no issue with upgrading my camera body and moreover, the ED lens are good...

Re: Lens Reccomendation
SIGMA has quite a fair share of good reputations but first to come out with a good lens with constant f2.8 is TOKINA 11-16 with good build and tough lens.

Re: Lens Reccomendation
If you really want to sell of 28-200, you can try Ben photo in Excelsior Hotel level 1. No guarantee that he will allow you to trade in that lens, but you can give it a try.

Re: Lens Reccomendation
So long the old lens is working fine for you, i don't you should change to another Dx lens, yes and i agreed that getting ED lens is good, no doubt its cost a hefty sum of money but it is a fine piece of glass.

Re: Lens Reccomendation
Maybe you can keep your 28-200 if you are not in need of money.

Yes, agree, if you have no need in urgent cash, then you can keep your old lens for that extra reach.

Re: Lens Reccomendation
not so advisable to get 18-200 as you will be compromising the quality of the photos. And I think the F-stop varies more in 18-200. Try your best to get constant f-stop in zoom lens.

Re: Lens Reccomendation
Another thing you can do is go down to a shop and try the lens yourself, you yourself knows best what you want.
