Excellent captures! Besides your sunsets, this is another series that i like alot~ I like the sky color that you did. For this series, how did you achieve that?

Re: Eric Kong's City, Land, Night & Sea-scapes
erm... one thing for sure is that on that day, the sky was really blue and the cloud was formless unlike any ordinary day. after taking, i just post-process to get the back the blue sky but i guess some was overdone.

Re: Eric Kong's City, Land, Night & Sea-scapes
thanx everyone for liking. i still think if the photos taken with the correct settings then it'll saves alot of time in post-processing.
i have to confess that i dun know anything about photoshop. i uses lightroom and even that i rely on presets. it's just that i just have to roughly know wat each of the preset will bring to the photo and i'll apply the presets which i find suitable.
my HDR, i uses photomatix. it does everything for me and i'll bring it into lightroom and maybe find a suitable preset to fit in and viola.

Re: Eric Kong's City, Land, Night & Sea-scapes
Hey you should try exposure blendings! it is also good to do HDR with exposure blendings, go and read up on it and try, it is fun and really produce nicer HDR than photomatix because you get to set everything to your own preference..

Re: Eric Kong's City, Land, Night & Sea-scapes
Here's a set taken on sunday evening;
#1
#2
#3 is HDR cause i wanted to make the cloud dramatic, in a way looks like 'independence day.' but then i think i failed and i think if the alien see this also will runaway! lol
#3
This one also a HDR result as i couldn't find a way to recover back my sky on the top right as it was overly-exposed when taken.

Re: Eric Kong's City, Land, Night & Sea-scapes
why #1 and #3 don't look so sharp? is it because of the PP?

Re: Eric Kong's City, Land, Night & Sea-scapes
#1 i remembered there wasn't enough light and i din increase my ISO. #3 was due to the same reason.
Re: Eric Kong's City, Land, Night & Sea-scapes
maybe that is the case? Hmm never mind.. shall wait for your next series.

Re: Eric Kong's City, Land, Night & Sea-scapes
it was the case... shoot using manual and shutter was slower than the human beings moving.
